Blogger MVP and ROY Rankings

I was just stumbling a while ago when I saw a post about "Blogger MVP and ROY Rankings". This poll was started by BrewHoop as a a bi-weekly blogger poll, ranking the Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year candidates in the NBA, and currently, the KING Lebron James is at first place with (244 points) and followed by Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul.

COULD this season really be the KING's year? We hope so. Let the man-child from Akron win this award. ^_^

More updates to come.

King James reaches 11K points

LeBron James became the youngest player ever to reach 11,000 points on Tuesday, scoring 31 in a win against the New Jersey Nets, passing Kobe Bryant. He also had eight rebounds, four assists, and a block in 36 minutes.

The win by the Cavs also sealed the 8th consecutive win by the Cleveland Cavaliers which now improves to 8-2 in the 2008-2009 NBA Season

The King Lebron James is quickly adding more and more to his case to become one of the best all-time. He still has MVPs and NBA titles to knock off legends such as Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Lebron James loses to David Kalb in H-O-R-S-E

David who? David Kalb is a warehouse manager who won and online contest by filming his best trick shot. And his prize, he had the chance to challenge The King Lebron James in a game of H-O-R-S-E.

Who could defeat a 6'8" 240lbs. monster like James? A guy named David Kalb? LOL. At first I thought it was a spoof video, but when I watched it, I was amazed with the tricks that this Kalb guy had under his sleeves.

James Drops 50 on Knicks

The "MVP!" chants weren't enough for one fan, who had to come on the court to tell LeBron James how much he appreciated the superstar's spectacular performance.

That only made one of the best nights of James' career even better.

James had 50 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds to win over the Madison Square Garden crowd and lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 119-105 victory over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.

He shot 16-of-30 from the field, including 7-of-13 from 3-point range, in his second 50-point game this season. He exited with fans standing and chanting "MVP!" in the final minute. One fan in a Cavaliers jersey ran onto the floor toward the Cleveland bench, even saying a few words to James, before being turned away by security and arrested.

"I've dreamed about playing well in this building and it's overtaken of how I could ever dream about," James said. "To get a standing ovation in the greatest basketball arena in the world, it was a dream come true for me. It's one of the best things that ever happened to me."

Lebron reaches 10,000 career points

James hit another milestone in a losing effort to the Celtics Thursday night [February 27,2008].

James hit the mark on a dunk that made it 63-54 with 4:54 left in the third quarter. James reached the 10,000-point milestone at 23 years and 59 days, more than a year younger than Kobe Bryant was when he hit the milestone in 2003 (24 years, 193 days). It took James 368 games to do it—the ninth-fastest in league history.

Before the end of the 2nd quarter, LeBron James hopped off the court and limped to the locker room, unsure if he'd be able to return for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Sure enough, the All-Star forward came back and became the youngest player in NBA history to reach 10,000 points. That still wasn't enough to beat the Boston Celtics.

That makes James the youngest to ever reach the 10,000 career point milestone.

Another record to be broken by Bron

James and the Cavaliers lost to the Milwaukee Bucks Tuesday night [Feb. 26, 2007] with a buzzer-beater triple from Michael Redd [the first buzzer-beater in his NBA career]. The game ended with 105-102 in favor of the Bucks.

Before the game started, Redd was honored for achieving 10,000 career points which he achieved in a game against Denver.

But good news Lebron fans, before the game between James' Cavs and Redd's Bucks, James only needed 54 points to also reach 10,00 career points. James eventually scored 35 points in that game so now, he only needs to score 20 or more points to achieve the feat.

Also, it will be a record-breaking feat if he reaches 10,000th career point as he will be the youngest to ever reach that mark at 23yrs old.

The Man

LeBron Raymone James (born December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Commonly nicknamed "King James" and "The Chosen One", the Akron, Ohio-born James was highly promoted in the national media as a future NBA star while still in high school, and was named Ohio's "Mr. Basketball" three times. At the age of 18, he was selected with the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Cavaliers and signed an unprecedented US$90 million shoe contract with Nike before his NBA debut. He has since set numerous youngest player records. In his first season, he received the NBA Rookie of the Year Award and in the following three seasons received All-NBA and All-Star honors. He led the Cavaliers to back-to-back playoff appearances in 2006 and 2007; the latter year the team advanced to the Conference Finals for the first time since 1992 and the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history.

James is listed as a small forward, but can also play point guard and shooting guard. This versatility has led to his classification as a "point forward." James was a member of the United States men's national basketball team that won the bronze medal in the 2004 Olympics in Athens and he finished second in the league Most Valuable Player balloting in 2006.
