The Miami Heat is the 2011 NBA Eastern Conference Champion

11 months after the 2010 NBA Free Agency ended and the "The Decision" was announced, three of the best NBA Players in Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade and Lebron James agreed to sign with the Miami Heat to form a "super" team destined to make a dynasty and win multiple championships.

Due to the signing of 3 superstars, even at a lower rate to what their market value was, they were left with little to spare on the salary cap to fillup the roster. Still, Pat Riley was able to sign a good enough team by signing serviceable bigs and good enough ball handlers and shooters. It did not look too good for the Miami Heat as they looked disoriented at the start of the season as they went on a 9-8 win-loss slate and millions of haters to boot.

The Miami Heat was able to gather themselves and was able to finish 2nd in the Eastern Conference with a 58-24 win-loss card. Meeting and dismantling Philadelphia 76ers in the first round in 5 games, they met the Boston Celtics in the 2nd round. Fortunately, the hard-nosed Boston Celtics that we knew this past years were outplayed and outhustled by the Miami Heat and was dispatched in 5 games (they sure miss Kendrick Perkins).

And then the 2011 Eastern Conference Finals came meeting #1 seeded Chicago Bulls spearheaded by current MVP Derrick Rose. In the regular season, the Miami Heat has never won a game against the Chicago Bulls going 3-0. Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals showed how deadly the Chicago Bulls can be with the Bulls winning by 21 points with MVP Derrick Rose and Loul Deng heading the attack and the Big Three shutdown. But the Chicago Bulls' part of the story in the series ended in Game 1 as the Miami Heat took over in the next 4 games.

The Miami Heat is the 2011 NBA Eastern Conference Champion. Next, the 2011 NBA Championships with the Dallas Mavericks waiting for them at the doorway.
